Jazmine Fenlator-Victorian on Jamaica bobsled team at Winter Olympics

Jazmine Fenlator-Victorian did not know if she had another Winter Olympics in her.

After she returned from the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics in South Korea, where she competed on Jamaica’s first-ever women’s bobsled team, the weight of being an elite winter athlete began to take its toll — “the toll of sacrifice, heartbreak, funding,” as she put it.

For more than a decade, competition at the highest level was all the Wayne native knew. So, she stepped away from sports and leaned into other aspects of life, starting her own business and becoming an entrepreneur.

“I really haven’t competed since PyeongChang, if I’m going to be honest,” Fenlator-Victorian said with a laugh. “I didn’t even know if I would come back really this Olympic season.”
